Life before Footsteps was working as a physiotherapist where my interest and passion was antenatal education and women’s health. After giving birth to my two children I realised that parenting was the hardest and most rewarding job in life and wanted to support parents in this important role. I worked as the Children and Families Leader at our local church (next door) for six years and during that time realised the need for Christian early childhood education in our community, so spearheaded the setting up Footsteps in 2007.
I am passionate about things being done well and seeing children connected to Jesus through relationships. I desire for Footsteps to always be an environment where people feel loved and supported, and where a high standard of education, support and care is provided for children and families to flourish. I have had the privilege of leading the team as Centre Manager for a number of years and am now supporting the current manager Angelia, to lead, inspire and take the Centre to greater heights. I love being a part of the Footsteps whanau!
